Nzimeni has a National Diploma in Chemical Engineering from CPUT. His introduction to the working industry was through a Young Graduate Training Program at PPC Cement in 1999. Out of 7 student who got in to the Graduate Program he was the only one who got a permanent position in the company.
He started working at PPC Lime as a Technical Assistant in the year 2000. After two and half years the Lime Division, he moved back to Cement Division at PPC Cement Slurry in Mafikeng. He served the company as a Production Student Supervisor and Trainee Process Engineer until September 2004.
Nzimeni made a massive change of career going into the paint industry by joining Plascon as a Chemist in the Development Laboratories in Alberton. He developed various industrial paints that made it to the shelves. At the end of his career in the paint industry he was a Specialist and Technical Advisor in Industrial Wood Coatings.
Nzimeni moved to BASF Construction Chemicals for a brief period where he was headhunted by a colleague and mentor he worked with at PPC Cement back in 1999. This time around he was going to Sales Environment as an Account Manager for a multinational company looking after clients such as Anglo American Platinum, Impala Platinum, Sibanye Platinum, Monopex and Glencore Platinum. Here he sharpened his business development skills and increased his network.
